Poppenhusen Institute Tour Investigation

Background:
 
An investigation  during a tour of the building was conducted . The tour Investigation began at 1:00 pm - ended 4:30 am. The Building consists of  4 stories and is constructed out of brick, The building was built in 1868 by Conrad Poppenhusen.  It was the first free kidngarten in the United States ans also served as a Police Station and Court house in the early 1900's. In the past it has been reported that the building was haunted by shadow people and the family of Conrad Poppenhusen.

Final Disposition:
 
After the investigation we reviewed the evidence and did not find anything out of the ordinary. We did notice that one picture was diffrent. It was blurry at the bottom of the staircase, but the top of the staircase was in focus. You can see Laura,one of the investigators walking in front of the picture at the bottom of the stairs. No  paranormal activity  witnessed or recorded at this time. Case is still open for furthur investigation.

While going up the stairs to the attic, the door at the top opened by itself. We feel it is due to the building being very old and nothing is in line anymore. Or, were we being invited in?

                                        

 

 

 

 

 

  

                                                          

While coming down the staircase to the main hall, one of our investigators felt a strange sensation like someone was in front of her and she snapped this picture. Notice that closest to her is clear but at the bottom of the staircase is blurry. Like someone is standing at the bottom of the staircase.
