Why is my house haunted?

 

  In this article we will use the word “Ghosts” as the common denominator for the reason being the average person refers to everything as a “ghost” even though it is incorrect. Many homes, hotels, cemeteries or even businesses are said to be haunted. So you ask “why" do  places become haunted?        

There may be  many reasons to have paranormal activity or a haunting. But, let’s first define the differences of having paranormal activity and a haunting. Paranormal activity in your home will be sporadic and most of the time will be non threatening.You may still hear voices, footsteps and notice objects missing, But for the most part, this is more of an annoyance to the occupants.Paranormal activity may cover an intelligent or non intelligent ghosts. ( See Paranormal Terminaology)  A haunting is an every day occurrence that disrupts family life and sometimes can become violent to the occupants. Things get thrown around and people can get physically injured.  A haunting covers ghosts, poltergeists, spirits, demons and entities.  

Ghosts are often seen where severe emotional distress occurred. Many ghosts tend to haunt the location where this distress occurred. In some cases, ghosts just want to be acknowledged by the living. They want to be “part of “. The first time you see a ghost, it can be very frightening experience to the average person, or even to a trained ghost hunter for that matter. The majority of people in the world do not believe that ghosts exist, and if they do believe in them, they are not saying. Most people would not report a ghost in their home because of scrutiny, embarrassment or the fear that the value of their home will decline. Ghosts are not particular on who and where they haunt. Some of the most common places are Cemeteris, Hotels,Battlefields, Public places and buildings. Most homes, but not all, would have to have a long history of unrest for it to be haunted. But, there have been cases that newer buildings have been haunted. Below are some basic reasons for a place to be haunted.

a) A violent or sudden death ( such as a murder, battlefield or a plane crash )

b) Unfinished business

C) They do not realize that they are deceased

D) They still want to protect family members

e) They are trying to pass on a message to a living person 

f)  Emotional distress

g) Disrupted burial ground

h) You brought the ghost home with you from another location
